Secretary, Archives & Libraries, Services & General Administration Department, Punjab is a civil servant of BPS-21 belonging to provincial executive services Punjab. He has served on various administrative and managerial assignments in different departments and districts of the Punjab including D.C.O. ship as well as Secretary Education Department and Higher Education Department. Some of the basic initiatives in the Punjab Library Foundation are his brainchild. First time in the history of Punjab Library Foundation a policy has been devised which is based on the principal and fairness and transparency for providing the facility of grants to various facilities and services of public libraries. It has been during his stint that the project of Storytelling has been giving a kick-start which shall have lasting positive impacts on the toddlers and young ones studding in the public sector educational institutions. A well laid out plan of action is under preparation envisioning the contemporary needs of present day students, scholars and learners. Secretary, Archives & Libraries, Services & General Administration Department intends to make this organization vibrant to serve academia of Punjab with a zeal and sprit now. |

Rehman Asif is serving as Deputy Director in Punjab Library Foundation, Lahore. His profuse educational career is laced with Masters in Economics, Library & Information Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, MS in Management Sciences, Ph.D. Scholar (Management Sciences) and L.L.B.His research papers have been published in International journals on Business Management primarily focusing on the concept of New Public Management. Not only he has participated in many TV & Live Talk Shows but also hosted many programs on socio-political and academic issues. He is a cogent and spirited columnist; writing in two International daily English Newspapers twice a week. He is teaching as visiting faculty in Punjab University Lahore and University of Education Lahore. His professional career was started in 1993 from Multan Public School led to his selection as lecturer in 1997. He has been performing duties on many challenging posts like EDO (IT), Staff Officer, Under Secretary (Annual Development Plan) & in the full swing, he was posted as Deputy Director (Planning & Development) and having additional charge of Deputy Director (Admin) in 2009 inculcating more dynamism to his professional expertise. His rich professional experience is credited in the field of planning and development, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, accounting, human resource development and project management. Further, he is a social activist and social media blogger; working on many different projects for the development and social welfare of community at a time. |

She did Master’s degree in Library & Information Sciences from University of the Punjab, Lahore and joined Punjab Library Foundation, Lahore as Assistant Director (Technical) (BS-17) in October 2015 through Punjab Public Service Commission, Lahore. She also has 05 years’ experience of working as Reference Librarian in Superior University, Lahore. |
